WHAT WE bELIEVE
The Scriptures
The scriptures are inspired. The Bible is the inspired word of God, a revelation from God to (men,) the invaluable role of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason. (2 Timothy 3:15–17, 1 Peter 1: 23–25; Hebrews 4:12)
The Trinity
The one true God-head. The true God-head is comprised of three separate and distinct personalities: God, the father, God, the son, God, the Holy Spirit. These three are eternally, self existent, self revealed and function as one unity. Jesus Christ, who is God manifested in the flesh, is the second member of the Godhead, co-equal and co-eternal with the father and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis one: 26; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)
The Deity of Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, his preexistence, and coronation, and Virgin birth. He came into the world to reveal the father, and was the brightness of his glory and the express image of his person; that Jesus Christ was the creator of all things, for by him the worlds were made. We further believe that in Christ throughout all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and that he was the very God and very man.(John 1:1-2,14; 1 Timothy 3:16; Colossians 2:8–9.)
The Work of Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, endless life, miracles, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection and his ascension into heaven and acknowledge his Lordship. Jesus Christ is Lord of all things in heaven and in earth and under the Earth.(1 John 2: 1-2, Acts 10:38–41.)
The Fall of Man
Man, his fall and redemption. Man was created good and upright, but man, voluntarily transgressing, failed and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the son of God.( Genesis 1: 26–31, 3:1-7; Romans 3:23, 5:12–21; Acts 4:10–12.)
Satan's Defeat
We believe that Christ defeated Satan through his death, burial and resurrection, and that he has delegated his authority over all the works of Satan to his body, the church. (Ephesians 1: 19–23; Colossians 2:15; Matthew 28: 18–20.)
The Salvation of Man
Men’s only hope (over red) redemption is through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. On the cross of Jesus Christ, he became sin and sickness, providing both salvation and divine healing for all mankind. Through Faith in the shed blood of Christ, the believer is justified and made a partaker in the life of Christ. (Romans 5: 1,9; John 3:3–7, Romans, 10:8–10)
The evidence of salvation. The inward evidence of the believer of his salvation is the direct witness of the spirit. The outward evidence to all man is a life of righteousness and true holiness. (Romans 8:16, Hebrews 12:14)
Faith and works. Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ and not by human works; however, our work will determine our rewards in eternity. (Romans, 10:9–10, Ephesians 2:8–9, Titus 3:5–7).
Water Baptism
Water baptism. We believe the ordinance of baptism by immersion should be observed as commanded in the scriptures by all who have repented of their sins, and have believed in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and so do they declare to the world that they have identified with Christ ‘s death, burial, and resurrection (Matthew 28:19, Roman 6:4, Colossians 2:12, 8:36–39)
Holy Spirit Baptism
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4; 19:6, that it is evidenced by the initial (physical side ) of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. All believers are entitled to, and should expect and earnestly seek, the promise of the Father, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in fire, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all in the early church and is still being poured out upon the church today. With it comes the endowment of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry.(1 Corinthians 12:1– 31, Acts 2:39, Luke 24:49, Acts 1: 4–8.).
Divine Healing
The redemptive work of Christ includes healing for the human body and answer to believing prayer. It is provided for all in the atonement of Christ and is the privilege of every believer. (Matthew 8:17, Mark 1618, James 5:14–15, one Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:4–5.)
The Resurrection
Resurrection of the just in the return of our Lord. We believe that his return is imminent, and that he is coming again together with all his saints to be with him forever. Following the tribulation, Jesus will return to the Earth as king of Kings and Lord of lords, and together with the Saints, we shall rule and reign 1000 years. (Acts 1: 11)
Eternal Judgement
Those who have not accepted the redemptive work of Jesus Christ will suffer eternal separation from the Godhead. The one who physically dies without accepting Christ, is hopelessly and eternally lost in the lake of fire, and therefore has no further opportunity of hearing the gospel or repenting. The lake of fire is literal and eternal. (Revelations 19:20, Hebrews 9:27)
Biblical Marriage
We believe that the Bible defines marriage as the union of a man and a woman making a covenant together before God. Therefore, we cannot endorse, sanction or perform illegal or religious or civil ceremonies solemnizing the union of same gender couples by any employees, staff or volunteers of the organization or allow such ceremonies. (Matthew 19:4–6 Mark 10:6–9, Ephesians 5:31–33.)
